infiltrators

Bora on State tour to get views of grassroots workersBJP to gear up for Assembly polls from Feb
Guwahati, Jan 8 (UNI): Acting on the guidelines given by BJP president LK Advani, the Assam unit of the party will organize a ‘Chintan Baithak’ (brainstorming session) in February to work out strategies to strengthen its organisational network before the next Assembly polls.
Talking to the UNI here yesterday, State BJP president and MP Indramani Bora said he was at present touring all the districts in the State to assimilate the views of the grassroots workers.
According to Mr Bora, the rank and file of the party wanted the State leaders to work above personal interests to strengthen the organization so that the party could not only arrest the setback suffered in the last Lok Sabha polls, but also emerge as a force to reckon with by the end of the year.
Mr Bora said some Central leaders of the party were expected to attend the ‘Chintan Baithak’ of the State unit, but added that unless they strengthened the organizational network of the party, there could be no talk of a possible alliance with any political force in the State.
He also mentioned that the major plank of his party in the next Assembly polls would be issues of "unchecked infiltration" across the Bangladesh border and "ISI’s patronage to fundamentalist elements who were insinuating into Assam in the disguise of infiltrators".
Mr Bora said he did not have any objection in accepting March 25, 1971 as the cutoff year to grant citizenship to all, cutting across caste, creed and religion, who had entered India across the border as suggested by other parties.
He, however, said people who were uprooted from across the border should be treated as "refugees", and who came in pursuance of jobs or other economic reasons and settled here, should be treated as "infiltrators".
Mr Bora , what will you say about millions of hindus living abroad ? what will you say " refugees " or "infiltrators " accordingly as you have sugested!!!!!! Some of them have become president and also premier and served in those particular countries .
